You will need;

A canvas or panel

Brush

A glazing medium or varnish

You will also need a colour of paint, this is very much personal preference, traditionally a warm earth colour such as ochre or burnt sienna is used, but really you may choose whatever you feel suits the mood of the painting. Ideally use a pure colour, not one mixed with a lot of white (like naples yellow) as you want the foundation of your painting to be a transparent layer, rather than opaque.
